About Ted’s IGA

Ted’s IGA Reaches 50 Year Milestone of Serving The Community!

We invite you to discover the Ted’s Difference, where our motto is, “Let our family take care of your family.”

Ted’s Supermarket first opened its doors in February 1974, serving Hebron and the neighboring communities. Ted Armata, along with his sons, Todge and David, have transformed the store into a community cornerstone. Over the last five decades, Ted’s has adapted to changing customer needs and expanded twice to accommodate a 22,000 sq. ft. location. The supermarket has and continues to actively support various charitable organizations.

At Ted’s, we are committed to delivering:

  • Quality products you can rely on for freshness
  • Friendly, efficient, and polite service
  • A clean and welcoming shopping environment
  • Guaranteed satisfaction with every purchase

As part of the IGA family, our collective buying power ensures competitive pricing, excellent specials, and exceptional quality. Quality has always been our top priority, from Certified Angus Beef to Grade A all-natural chicken in our Meat Department. We offer a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, and over thirty organic items. Our Deli Department features top brands like Boar’s Head, custom-sliced cheeses, freshly made salads, daily baked bread, and renowned custom cakes.

For five decades, Ted’s has remained true to founder Ted Armata’s values – prioritizing customer service, quality products, local partnerships, and community engagement. David Armata, Vice President and Owner, credits the company’s success to product quality, customer care, and loyalty to the community. The company has expanded twice, focused on marketplace innovation, and consistently supported charitable causes.

Todge Armata, Owner and President, emphasizes the company’s enduring commitment to community service, echoing his father’s dedication since the business’s inception. As the third and fourth generations of the Armata Family manage daily operations, they maintain the same dedication and pursuit of excellence as their predecessors.
